The Pure Shop was borne from frustration due to the lack of non-toxic products available in our mainstream supermarkets. Almost all shampoos, face cleansers, soaps, handwashes, detergents, deodorants, laundry powders, bathroom cleaners and baby products available on our supermarkets shelves contain a cocktail of sulphates, petrochemicals, parabens, artificial fragrances and other toxins that are, at best, harmful to our health and at worst, carcinogenic. |
At The Pure Shop we bring together a range of safe, natural, quality products that are free from damaging toxins. Many of our personal care products are derived from botanical ingredients, with organic essential oils and no petrochemicals. Many are certified organic and suitable for vegans.
Similarly, our cleaning range is free from phosphates, ammonia, chlorine bleach, sulphates, artificial fragrances and petrochemical by-products making them not only good for us but safe for our planet, particularly our aquatic environments.

Until more consumers stop buying mainstream toxic products and make the informed choice to purchase safe alternatives, manufacturers will see little point in improving their product ingredients - especially as natural ingredients cost more to process than vats of chemicals. | AROMABABY products are free from petro-chemicals, added colour (artificial or otherwise), artificial fragrance, animal ingredients, propylene glycol, parabens, sulphates, alcohol, Octyl Methoxycinnamate (found in many baby sun care products), talc, herbal extracts (commonly prepared in a base of either alcohol or propylene glycol), synthetic vitamin e, silicones (dimethicone and others) and so much more. Also left out are natural vegetable oils which have been solvent extracted or those which are linked to skin irritation, for example, peanut oil. Instead, you will find certified organic and/or pesticide free and gmo free pure rosehip oil, natural vitamin e, avocado oil, jojoba, calendula, therapeutic-grade essential oils and more. In place of talc you will find soothing, certified organic oat and soy powders, edible-grade cornstarch and pure essential oils. Together these hand-picked ingredients have been combined to produce this ultra pure and gentle babycare range which has proven beneficial for soothing and protecting even the most sensitive skin. |
| The PAW (Pure Animal Wellbeing) range of dog coat and skin care products are formulated in consultation with animal dermatologists to ensure optimal performance and care for your pet. While most products on the market will clean your dog’s hair, they will also strip the hair of its natural oils. These shampoos often contain sulphates and ethoxylated cleaning agents (detergents) which are associated with causing dry, itchy, red and irritated skin. Even so-called ‘natural’ shampoos including oatmeal shampoos and ‘soap free’ products may contain these irritating ingredients and have an abrasive effect on your dogs skin and coat. PAW products are free from sulphates, ethoxylates, parabens, toxic preservatives and artificial fragrances, formulated from natural ingredients and made in Australia. |
